The Board of Directors of InterGlobe Aviation (IndiGo), at its assembly unanimously accepted the appointment of its co-founder and promoter, Rahul Bhatia, as its managing director with speedy impact, topic to the approval of the members of the corporate.

Meleveetil Damodaran, Chairman, IndiGo, mentioned: “This will further strengthen the airline in the years ahead. Bhatia would oversee all aspects of the airline, and actively lead the management team.”

Bhatia acknowledged that his agenda could be transformational and would give attention to increasing the airline’s presence in India and in worldwide markets and constructing for the long run.
