South Georgia travel | Antarctica

The island of South Georgia, one of many first gateways to Antarctica, was the middle for the massive Southern Ocean whaling trade from 1904 to 1966. Several essential expeditions to Antarctica known as on the whaling stations en path to or from the continent, notably these of Ernest Shackleton.
