The Grenada Tourism Authority (GTA) has launched a brand new voluntourism programme, providing guests to the tri-island state an opportunity to have interaction with the local people, tradition and surroundings by making a long-lasting impression via volunteering.

The new initiative is for travellers looking for genuine, sustainable and rewarding journey experiences. The programme contains quite a lot of volunteer programmes inside a number of sectors throughout agriculture, surroundings, training, and well being. Opportunities can be found year-round and accessible for every type of travellers.

Petra Roach, CEO of the Grenada Tourism Authority, mentioned: “We’re really excited to launch our Voluntourism programme, the carefully curated range of activities give travellers the opportunity to connect with our local people and have a truly memorable stay here in Grenada. The goal of the programme is to reach visitors through initiatives that enhance engagement with the community, leave a positive footprint on the islands, and provide greater knowledge of what makes Grenada unique.”
